Uh oh! You have started
Maximizer and there is absolutely nothing there.
What have you done? Did you press the wrong button and accidentally delete all the records from the database?
Perhaps there is a bug in the system and it has wiped all your work? Whatever has happened, you can't see any evidence
of anything. At approximately this time when the sweat is breaking out at the thought of deleting your company's entire
client list, this is the time that I usually get a call.
First things first, don't panic and don't worry. You haven't lost anything. There are times
when I operate a computer where I am constantly worrying about inadvertantly deleting months
of hard work at the press of a button, but in reality deleting information from a system is
not so easy. More often than not this type of call has originated from someone
who hasn't had full training in Maximizer and doesn't know the system and it's processes. This is
a little bug bear of mine and I talk about
Maximizer training in the Nomis CRM blog.
Why Can't I See Contacts in Maximizer

There are a number of reasons why on opening the contacts section of Maximizer you will not see anything. These are as follows:-
Default settings - As I have stated elsewhere, Maximizer is no 'off the shelf' product and setting up Maximizer fully to integrate
with your company needs full understanding of Maximizer's capabilities. The most common reason why a user cannot see records is that by default, Maximizer has
been set to show a blank window.
Maximizer's Intelligent Memory - Maximizer is a smart system that contextually remember information so that it can show you relevant data according to what you saw previously. Therefore when you open up Maximizer if the system is set to remember what you have worked
on the previous day, that window will appear. If before, you search a record that doesn't exist and then switch the system off, on returning to the Maximizer environment that same empty screen will appear.
Manually clearing the screen - Maximizer allows the user to manually clear the window so that searches can be started afresh. This is not a deletion of data but a clearing of the window so that you can start a new search. To a new user, accidentally clearing the window might prove a reason to panic and
think that data has been lost. It hasn't.
Nomis Advice: Know How The Maximizer System Works
Maximizer is a smart system that works in context to the work you are doing. Knowing how Maximizer works is an important part of utilising the benefits that a CRM system can give your business.
Nomis customers who spend money on Maximizer Support but haven't trained the users of the system more often than not spend needless amounts of time (and money) in solving simple problems over the phone.
