I can't tell you how many times I get the same complaint
from sales directors and department managers when 'that'
time approaches at the end of the month and management
have to both collectively and singularly make sense
of what is going on in the business. Most managers,
myself included, view the monthly forecast report
as one of the necessary evils that we have to put up
with
in running a successful business. Why? Because of the
sheer bulk of information, time, effort, meetings,
etc. involved in creating and understanding a consolidated
forecast report that everyone agrees and relies upon.
When I came up with the idea of SymVolli many years
ago, one of my main motivations was to cut out the
problems that creating reports using conventional
spreadsheets and software presented with. One of our
clients used to spend in excess of two days creating
forecast reports and consolidating it with all the
departmental reports of his company. SymVolli now
does that job in minutes because the sales reports
are a bu-product of qualified sales data.
How Do You Save Time With SymVolli?

You will probably feel cheated at this point to realise that the answer to this is "by pressing a button", and quite simply that is all you have to do and by defining the parameters of your report SymVolli will create a monthly forecast report. How much time will this take? About a minute.
With this ability to create important business reports
in such a short time, management are given an extra
ability that they couldn't have possessed before with
regards to creating reports. Whereas before, time and
effort was made in creating a report based on accurate
and consistent data, that could answer all questions
associated with the business. If certain questions
weren't answered, new reports with equally time consuming
activities would ensue. SymVolli offers a manager
the discrimination in creating reports with specific
questions in mind.
How Reliable Is This Information?

How does a report that takes a minute compare to days of effort on the part of a sales manager? Surely there has to be some information reliability issues?
What you have to realise is that SymVolli itself
is writing qualified data on a daily basis inserted
into the system by the entire company in real time.
In this way, the entire company is writing and contributing
to a continuous report that is 'SymVolli' itself.
Clicking a button just prints that information
in a meaningful way. The time saved in getting that
information is then handed to management who can more
proactively use it in other ways.
Nomis Advice: Custom Reports
