A long, long time ago in the days of word processors and excel spreadsheets a mail shot was a nightmare; creating the document, merging it with a list, ensuring the margins were correct, stuffing letters into envelopes, putting stamps on them and taking your mailbag down to the post office to send out.

Then sitting waiting for the fax back to come through and count the cost: the paper, the envelopes and the stamps forget the time and energy it took.

Now with Maximizer CRM it is a matter of creating an html page, identifying the recipients, and then fire!!! Sit back and not only monitor how many people have opened the email but also who they are and even who has visited your web site as a result of the eshot. You now know who is interested and who you need to contact.

The Steps to Creating Email Marketing Campaigns in Maximizer CRM

marketing campaign manager Step 1 Create email template

Step 5 'Add Automated Campaign' and select the template you wish to use.

Step 6 Select the list of your target audience. If you wish you can ran a test internally to ensure that you are happy with the results of the template.

Step 7 Press Finish

Your email campaign is ready to be sent out on the date and time you have specified.

Once it has gone out you will not only be able to see:
  • how many emails have gone out successfully
  • how many emails have been opened
  • how many people have clicked on a url which was contained in your email
but you will also be able to see:
  • who has opened your email
  • who has clicked on the url
  • which contacts do not have a valid email address

Nomis Advice: Spamming and Phishing

At Nomis we advocate a permission based targeted email strategy when it comes to creating marketing campaigns. We are all too aware of the issues of spam. Over the past few months, we at Nomis have noticed that upgrades to security in operating systems like Windows have been made to try and combat the ways in which spam is sent. With Maximizer CRM marketing campaigns, due care in creating email campaigns should be taken.

To combat Phishing, which is a method of spam that involves using another identity to gain sensitive information, using any email or web address in the body of the email which redirects or links to an address outside the senders domain will automatically direct your marketing campaign into everyone's spam folders and set all "email alarms" ringing.
